WET BELTS, WET BELTS WET BELTS!

First picture shows the “hidden” wet belt fitted to many Ford 1.8TDCi engines that most people don’t even realise is there until it snaps. The second picture is the pick up pipe from a 1.2 pure tech engine found in many Citroen, Peugeot and Vauxhalls, the belt was so badly deteriorated that the oil strainer was completely blocked.

Wet belts although not usually considered cheap to replace can cause catastrophic costly damage if not replaced as and when required.
